Rouda claims attendance at racist frat parties a “faux controversy”

History of discrimination, refuses to apologize

Huntington Beach, CA – Calling his attendance at racist frat parties a “faux controversy,” Harley Rouda refused to explain his role in such parties or even apologize for his attendance.

“Harley Rouda has a documented history of discrimination and now refuses to even apologize for his attendance at parties that denigrated the Vietnamese community,” Michelle Steel said.

Rouda actually sought to justify his attendance at parties where women dressed as prostitutes by saying, “that hundreds of Delta Tau Delta fraternities hosted these parties in conjunction with U.S. military recruiters across the country in the ’80s.”

Rouda’s comments came weeks after it was first reported he attended such parties and following calls from Michelle Steel to apologize.
